The United States and Canada today announced they had achieved key elements of the Beyond the Border Action Plan for Perimeter Security and Economic Competiveness, increasing benefits to NEXUS members by streamlining the NEXUS membership renewal process and launching a plan to increase NEXUS membership.

8 February 2012: U.S., Canada Expand Joint Planning, Operational Options
Agreements signed recently in Ottawa set up a roadmap for U.S. and Canadian officials to work together in the event of a natural disaster or attack, the director of strategy, policy and plans at the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command said this week.
